When Kayla’s sister Jodi-Beth contacted me about a fresh 48 session a few months before Kayla was due with her first baby boy, I was so stoked! We’ve all been friends for a looong time, and I couldn’t wait to document this sweet moment in Kayla’s life!
The day arrived, and Mr Carter made his grand entrance! I didn’t go up to visit until the day after because I was actually shooting a birth! But man, he was worth the wait. <3

Those first few moments, days, heck that first month is such a blur! That’s why I love my birth/fresh 48 sessions, so you don’t forget any of it.
Like these wrinkly feet– I can like totally remember how sweet and squishy they felt.. and don’t get me started on that baby smell. Oh it’s the best.
