Welcome packet loveliness {Erin Phillips Photography, Slidell LA photographer}

When I posted a photo of me putting together my welcome packet via instagram a few days ago, quite a few fellow photographers asked if I’d do a blog post about it. So here I am! πŸ™‚

About 2 weeks ago, I purchased the Portrait Studio Welcome Packet from Design Aglow, and went to work on making it fit my brand. Almost everything in my welcome packet is from the amazing design aglow templates I purchased. They made it so easy to change them! I had a welcome packet last year, but it didn’t consist of much more than the model release, copyright release, and pricing guide.

I wanted to change that.

I purchased presentation folders and envelopes from Paper Presentation. I had used them before and love them.

The little card on the outside of the folder is not my business card, it is a referral card, I stick one on the outside and stick a few more in there for my clients to hand out to friends. Perfect marketing!

I have three documents on 8.5×11″ paper, my model release, my copyright release, and the getting to know you form from Design Aglow.

My pricing guide is in there so clients know well ahead of time what to expect. Super important! This wasn’t a design aglow template, my original logo designer, Manda Koolis came up with this guide, and I just tweaked it a bit!

I do love the session info guide in there. It covers what the session includes, what to expect, and more copyright guidelines.

Of course I throw some cute biz cards in there! πŸ™‚

The Β session reminder card is super cute and small enough to stick on a fridge as a good reminder to your clients.

There are a few more templates like wall ideas, and what to wear that I didn’t end up printing. I do send a session prep guide email to all of my clients, so I didn’t feel the need. The view+order consults take care of the need for the wall display idea guide as well. πŸ™‚

I love the sticker template they added to put on the outside of the envelope! I thought this photo might make my clients smile!

And that’s that! A professional looking welcome packet that fits ME and my branding. I am in love with it, and I think my clients will love this too!

And just because she was my big helper that day while I was taking all of these product photos…

Isn’t she the CUTEST? πŸ™‚

  • Amy M. - Hi Erin! I stumbled across this post by searching “photographer client welcome packet”! Thank you so much for sharing the content of your welcome packet with ‘us’. I have a quick question for you, (I am a newbie, so forgive me if this is stupid..), for your “getting to know you” form – what is the way in which you request for clients to get that back to you?

    Thanks!ReplyCancel

  • missy - Love this idea! I love how personal it is! Just curious, what style of envelope/folder did you put all your info in? The one that has the referral card and is grey.ReplyCancel
