Ayden’s Foundation of HOPE!
As most of you already know, or may not know, my husband and I tragically lost our 3.75 year old baby boy to a drowning incident almost three months ago. It is the most horrific thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. Just miserable. I wrote about it here on my family blog.
Moments after realizing our sweet Ayden was in Heaven, we knew something big was going to come of it, HAD to come of it. Two months later, as we were sitting at a table in McAlisters Deli, my husband and I came up with the name Ayden’s Foundation of Hope. We HOPE and pray God will use us, and the memory of our sweet Ay man to be a blessing to others, and to make a difference.
It was then that Ayden’s Foundation of Hope was born.
The name of this foundation has so much meaning in itself.
Foundation: The basis on which a thing stands, is founded, or is supported.
Matthew 7:24-25 “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”
Psalm 61:2 “From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
The rock these verses refer to is Jesus Christ. The very foundation of this organization is Jesus Christ and the Word of God.
And of course HOPE.
HOPE: A feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.
Titus 3:7 ” That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the HOPE of eternal life.”
HOPE is the very thing that brings any type of peace to our hearts. We have HOPE because of Jesus Christ and that one day we will hold our precious Ayden again.
We are in the process right now of setting up all of the details for Ayden’s Foundation of Hope. We are HOPING and praying God works in big ways through this foundation, that Ayden’s death will not be in vain! We plan to focus on organ donor awareness, CPR training, sending encouragement and financial support to other parents who lose children, blood drives, and photography sessions for families with terminal children/parents. There’s so much that God can do through this, and we want to be USED! We want to honor our baby boy any way we can.
Just today we received the order of bracelets in, we are so excited about these! And so is Ayden’s best friend/big bubba.
